Two Neighbors pours an orange latte, about as unusual as lattes get, from a quiet, minimalist café in Souq Madinat Badr, Muhaisnah 3. The room is all warm earthy tones and soft lighting, and there's seating outside too.

Tiramisu is the dessert people talk about most here, and it turns up on tables all over the café alongside the Spanish Latte. Staff are kind, and the pepperoni pizza and the cortado are the café's most popular orders.

For a midday boost, we'd order the V60. The mango matcha is a refreshing alternative to coffee. If you want something sweeter, save room for the Strawberry Shortcake or the Mango Crepe Cake, thin crepes stacked in layers. Both of these taste have great taste profiles and very satisfying.

Ask for a table outside when the weather allows; the outdoor seating is one of the things people mention most. Budget AED 50 to 100 a head, which is on the high side for a neighbourhood café and the main thing to weigh before you go.

Two Neighbors is a good pick for a long lunch or a coffee-and-dessert break if you live or work around Muhaisnah and want somewhere quiet to sit.
