Rawabi Alsham is a grill house with its own butcher: every piece of meat that goes on the grill comes from the meat shop attached to the restaurant, in the Trio Building in [Al Barsha](https://9715.ae/dubai/area/barsha/) 1, next to West Zone Supermarket.

The Mixed Grill is our top recommendation, and it's the plate to judge the place by: lamb tikka, meat kebab, shish tawook and arayes, the flatbread pressed around minced meat and grilled, with vegetables and well-judged seasoning. It's AED 49 as a meal, or AED 154 by the kilo for a table to share; the Special adds lamb chops for AED 56. The shawarma is worth ordering too, and the kebabs hold their own.

The meat shop is a separate counter with its own phone line, so you can buy raw cuts to take home without eating in, and there's a wide choice of them. Regulars take shawarma home by the kilo. There's indoor and outdoor seating.

Service can be slow when it's busy, down to a long wait for a pot of tea. For a crowd, order the whole-lamb mansaf on rice or freekeh at least eight hours ahead.

Worth the trip for meat lovers who want a proper mixed grill, and for anyone who'd like to leave with the raw cuts for their own barbecue.
