Pak Darbar in [Al Barsha](https://9715.ae/dubai/area/barsha/) 1, a short walk from Mashreq Metro Station, is a plain, no-frills Pakistani dining room where taxi drivers and workers outnumber everyone else, and where a full meal for two comes to around AED 60.

It's known for its curries, kebabs and grills, and a waiter takes your order at the table. Our go-to order is the Mutton Achari, Chicken Tikka, Mutton Kebabs and freshly baked roti. We've also had the mutton chops and the dal fry (for around AED 8) is also very popular.

Feeling adventurous? Come for breakfast and try the Nihari, a richly spiced, slow-cooked beef stew.

Don't come for the room: the setting is basic, but let's be honest, you're not here for the setting.

Worth it if you want a cheap, properly spiced Pakistani meal near Mall of the Emirates and care more about the plate than the decor.
