Khun Chai Thai has just four tables, and most of what its kitchen cooks leaves as delivery, yet this ground-floor spot in B2 Mall on [Jumeirah](https://9715.ae/dubai/area/jumeirah/) Street turns out proper Thai at prices the hotels along this stretch can't touch.

Our top picks are the Money Bag Wontons, the Tom Yum Soup, which has a bit of a spicy kick, and the Stir-Fried Chicken with Cashews. Expect to spend AED 50 to 100 a head. The Thai staff, dressed in traditional clothes, are happy to steer you through the menu if you ask for recommendations.

If you still have room, finish with the Mango Sticky Rice, the dessert regulars order to close out the meal.

The tables are almost always taken, so walk-ins at peak times end up waiting, and parking nearby is hard to find. Go at an off-peak hour, or order in. It's a good pick for anyone living around Jumeirah 3 who wants proper Thai without hotel prices, and an even better one for a delivery night on the sofa.
