Cinnamood started in Cologne in 2022 and has grown to 48 locations in eight countries, and its [Dubai](https://9715.ae/dubai/) outpost is the best reason yet to skip Cinnabon for your cinnamon roll fix. It sits on Level 2 of Mall of the Emirates, next to VOX Cinemas. The spot itself is small, with seating for about four, so don't count on a seat. They still pack in a surprising amount of variety, and the whole place has an aesthetic that makes you want to linger. They have table service, but you can order from the counter as well in case you want to browser the collection first.

Everything tasted fresh, with none of that stale, sitting-around-too-long texture you sometimes get. We went with the Caramel Apple Crumble Roll and were glad we did. The coffee deserves a mention too: good on its own, and it paired well with the sweetness of the roll instead of fighting it.

Service was a highlight. They took the time to walk us through the options rather than rushing us. The roll we're coming back for is the Speculaas: fluffy dough filled with speculoos cream, topped with vegan cream-cheese frosting, then more speculoos cream and a speculoos crunch. Several rolls carry vegan frosting, and the average bill runs to about AED 75.

Park in car park C, the nearest to the shop. If you're a cinnamon roll person, or want something sweet before a film at VOX, give it a shot. It holds its own against the bigger names.
