Cafe Villa 515 is breakfast inside a perfume house: the villa on [Jumeirah](https://9715.ae/dubai/area/jumeirah/) Beach Road in Jumeirah 3 has sold niche fragrances and run its own perfume lab since 2013, and the cafe shares the building. The front, lined with chairs, catches your eye from across the street.

The villa is beautifully restored, with seating both indoors and out, and it's open and welcoming. The Pancakes (AED 55) are the ones to order: homemade pancakes with mixed fresh berries, maple syrup and vanilla ice cream. The Burrata Toast (AED 70) layers creamy burrata over freshly baked focaccia with slow-roasted confit tomatoes, crushed pistachios, basil pesto and a touch of balsamic glaze. If you're craving something sweeter, there's the San Sebastian Cheesecake. Regulars talk most about the French toast, made with brioche and homemade berry jam, with the shakshouka close behind.

Service is the weak spot: it can be slow and hard to flag down, and at AED 50 to 150 a head this isn't a cheap breakfast. The cafe takes bookings by phone, so call ahead if you want a table outside; walk-ins can wait.

There's also the in-house perfumery, so you can leave with a fragrance of your own.

Go for an unhurried weekend breakfast outdoors, especially if you'd like to browse perfume afterwards.
