Artisan Bakers puts a bakery, a cheese room and a florist under one glass roof on [Jumeirah](https://9715.ae/dubai/area/jumeirah/) Beach Road in Umm Suqeim 3, and keeps the whole place green and lush even through the summer months.

Through the bakery section you can watch the croissants being made. The counter is always well stocked with treats, and there's a wide choice of food and coffee. Order the halloumi tartine: crisp toasted sourdough under creamy mashed avocado, grilled halloumi and tangy sundried tomatoes. The quirk is the cheese room, with cheeses from around the world and a variety of samples to try. A typical lunch comes to about AED 70 to 80.

There's indoor seating in the glass house as well as tables outside, but it isn't big inside, so expect a wait for a seat at peak times, and service can be slow. Skip the shorts if you sit out: mosquitoes find bare legs. Parking is the tricky part: you'll likely end up in the back lot, with a short walk across the sand to the entrance.

Worth it for an unhurried weekend breakfast among the plants, especially if you'll leave with a loaf and some cheese.
