At Al Damyati Express one dish does the talking: nearly 300 of its 4,000-plus Google reviews are about the lamb chops, more than any other thing on the menu, and they're the reason we keep coming back. This Egyptian grill on 18A Street (Street 12D) in [Al Karama](https://9715.ae/dubai/area/karama/) is our go-to whenever we're craving the best lamb chops in town.

The chops are tender and succulent, cooked just right, and they come with side dishes. They don't feel rubbery or under-cooked so every bite is better than the previous one. They're not cheap, though. If you want something easier on the wallet, the kebabs are great too and cost a lot less, and most people eat here for under AED 50 a head.

Lamb chops and lamb arayes are what regulars order, with hummus and kebabs close behind. It's a proper sit-down restaurant, and the dining room is big enough that you usually don't wait long for a table. If you'd rather eat at home, order ahead and collect the chops kerbside; it delivers too.

Go when you want a serious plate of grilled lamb without the fuss; if you're on a tighter budget, fill up on the kebabs instead.
